On January 24, the General Administration of Civil Aviation of
China (CAAC) announced that it would publicize the Reform Plan
for Civil Airport Charges on March 1.
The CAAC said that the reform would take two steps in five years
to create uniform charge standards for civil aviation services
provided by airlines from home and abroad. The charges for civilian
airports will be classified and managed accordingly.
In addition, the CAAC said that the reform aims to regulate
interest distribution between airlines and airports and would not
result in airfare price hikes.
