Survey: Young people most active in house buying

Young people born in the 1970s and 1980s has become the main forces in home purchasing, according to a survey conducted by Baidu, operator of China's most used Internet search site covering 95 percent of the Chinese netizens.

"The survey actually reflects the attitude and desires of home buyers because it has almost covered the entire purchasing market," said an insider. Buyers aged between 21 and 30 account for 38.8 percent of the commercial building buyers in Beijing, according a poll by the Horizon Research Consultancy Group (Horizon Group). In contrast, people between 18 and 35 are the main forces among Chinese netizens for housing purchases, based on a survey by CCNIC.
