PPI of Manufactured Goods Up 2.4% in July

China's producer's price index (PPI) for manufactured goods rose by 2.4 percent in July over the same period of last year, the National Bureau of Statistics said on Friday.

 

Meanwhile, the purchase price index of raw materials, fuel, power increased by 3.6 percent year on year, according to the bureau's latest monthly report.

 

Of all the manufactured goods, the PPI of capital goods went up by 2.2 percent.

 

The PPI of mining sector went down by 0.1 percent and that of raw materials sector went up 4.3 percent while that of processing sector went up by 1.4 percent.

 

The PPI of consumer goods jumped by 3.1 percent with the price index of food surging by 7.8 percent on last year and the price index of daily necessities rising by 1.8 percent on last year.

 

The PPI of durable consumer goods dropped 1.1 percent on last year and the PPI of crude oil and gasoline both went down by 5.1 percent on last year.
