China shares close down 0.52%

Chinese shares dropped slightly on Monday, led by profit-taking of heavyweights.

The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index lost 9.01 points, or 0.52 percent to end at 1,719.77 points. The Shenzhen Component Index finished at 5,825.002 points, down 0.25 percent.

Aggregate turnover fell to 32.11 billion yuan (US$4.72 billion) from last finish of 35.23 billion yuan .
