A string of measures will be adopted to boost the outsourcing industry. It will also make efforts to protect intellectual property rights.
Currently, some 30 outsourcing companies have been established in Zhengzhou and several multinational companies, such as Microsoft, are planning to transfer part of their businesses there.
Global outsourcing plays a significant role in the international economy. According to available statistics, in 2003 the turnover of the global outsourcing industry totaled only US $150 billion, but by 2007 it had shot up to US $1.2 trillion. It is estimated that in 2010 the global value of the industry will reach a new high of US $5 trillion.
