Chinese indexes open higher following Wall Street rally

Chinese equities rose 1.9 percent Wednesday tracking Wall Street surge overnight.

The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index increased 1.9 percent to 2,199.98. The Shenzhen Component Index was up 2.2 percent to 8,225.34.
