Landslide buries quarry workers in NW China

A landslide hit a quarry in Shaanxi province Wednesday, burying an unknown number of people, local authorities said.
The landslide hit Xijiming Quarry in Jingyang county around 11 a.m., a government spokesman said.
A quarry official said a worker was buried and two others were injured, but those figures cannot be confirmed, the spokesman said.
The injured were rushed to hospital, and rescuers are searching the debris for signs of the buried, he said.
Police are investigating the cause of the landslide, he added.
