The school will launch a dual-masters degree program in business administration and engineering this year. World-renowned business leaders will be invited to take classes in the MBA program from September, 2012. Twenty-two entrepreneur head teachers have also been invited by the program.

An interdisciplinary "Tsinghua Entrepreneurship Network (TEN)" based on an integration of the resources across various Tsinghua departments has also been launched. The network will promote the proliferation of entrepreneurial activities and the development of a systematic entrepreneurial regime.

The network will provide students and alumni with systematic, open, and ongoing business support, and will further stimulate students' passion for innovation and entrepreneurial activities, and enhance success rate of these activities.

The network will also include courses on entrepreneurship, projects and seminars, and offer students with more practical entrepreneurial opportunities and conduct entrepreneurial research in an interdisciplinary and cooperative manner in conjunction with the academic resources from other fields.

Endowed with a "Hatch" and "Entrepreneurship Fund" with an initial allocation of 100 million yuan (US$ 15.7 million), the network serves as an entrepreneur incubation program that will help the entrepreneurs establish their teams, match projects with investment funds and mentors, and to provide professional advice and counseling services.

An entrepreneurship information platform – "Tsinghua Entrepreneurship Online" is also in the works. In a dynamic and entrepreneurial society, students and teachers will have access to entrepreneurship-related activities and information, and individual investors and investment institutions will be allowed to browse through entrepreneurial projects. The website will also act as a social networking channel for business students to build online communities, seek business partners and share experiences.

The cooperation between SEM and overseas universities such as Stanford and MIT provide about 200 exchange opportunities for MBA candidates.

Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management have built up a substantial lead in China's MBA education. Previous reforms have had satisfactory results and many universities quickly followed suit.

Statistics show that the average annual salary for the school's preliminary MBA candidate in 2012 is over 300,000 yuan (US$ 47,100) and leads a team of almost 20 employees.
