Cold front to hit central, eastern China this week

A cold front is sweeping across most parts of central and eastern China, from west to east, this week and will bring snow, rain and sand storms, Monday's weather forecast said.

It will be rainy and snowy in northern Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, central and eastern parts of northwest China, most parts of north China and northeast China, the China Meteorological Administration (CMA) said.

Slight and moderate rain will hit most parts in south China and some parts will receive heavy rain, including eastern Sichuan basin and Guizhou Province.

Sandy and dusty weather will hit southern Xinjiang, parts of Gansu Province, central and western parts of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region and northern Shaanxi Province, according to the CMA forecast.
