China mulls ways to boost imports

 

China is considering a number of policies to boost the country's imports and improve its trade balance, according a State Council executive meeting presided over by Premier Wen Jiabao this Wednesday, Xinhua reported.

China will cut on the import duties for some energy and raw material products, consumer products as well as several high-tech goods.

The country will also encourage its commercial banks to support the imports of advanced technologies, equipment, key parts as well as energy and raw material products.

Other policies will include measures to expand fund-raising channels of import firms, improve the cross-border trade settlement in the yuan, cut import costs and remove irregular restrictions.

据新华社报道,周三,国务院总理温家宝主持召开国务院常务会议,研究加强进口促进对外贸易平衡发展的政策措施。

我国将降低部分能源原材料进口关税,降低部分与人民群众生活密切相关生活用品和一些高科技产品的进口关税。

国家还将鼓励商业银行开展进口信贷业务,支持先进技术、设备、关键零部件和能源原材料的进口。

政策措施还包括:拓宽进口企业融资渠道,加强和改善跨境贸易人民币结算工作,降低进口环节交易成本,清理进口环节的不合理限制与措施。
