Li Na and Radwanska shook hands after the game. |
The thrilling encounter between Li Na and Agnieszka Radwanska in the Wimbledon quarterfnals has been marred by the umpire's controversial calls.
Down 3-4 in the first set, Li Na hit an unreturnable backhand that was initially called out. Li challenged the call and it was overruled. The ball was in. However, the chair umpire ruled that the point should be replayed. Li appealed but the umpire would not budge.
Then serving for the first set, Li's serve was called out despite the replay showed that it was a wonderful ace. Radwanska held nerve to save four set points and broke, setting up a tie-break.
