Beijing have reclaimed their dominance in the women's group, as
they beat Shandong 3-2 in the eighth round of the Chinese table
tennis super league.
World champion Zhang Yining and rising star Guo Yan each
snatched easy wins over their rivals, giving Beijing a 2-0
lead.
Defending champion Shandong rebounded to level the score with
two late wins from doubles players Jiang Hujun/Liu Juan and Peng
Luyang in the singles.
But Beijing gave no chance to the hosts, as Zhang Yining trashed
Liu Juan three sets to one in the decisive third singles clash.
Following the victory, Beijing rebounded to top place in the
ten-team women's league with 13 points.
