9. Mao Dun's Residence
Mao Dun (1896-1981) is renowned as one of the best realist novelists in the history of modern China. He spent his last few years at the residence where visitors can see his well-preserved furniture and personal items in a Beijing's traditional quadrangle or Siheyuan, courtyard home. Three exhibition halls display Mao's life experiences and personal items. They provide a rewarding spiritual look back on the life of one of the great literary masters.
