At a conference of the preparatory committee on Feb. 7, it was reported that 24 Olympic champions will join other celebrities to attend the Boao International Tourism Forum.

At the conference, responsible officials presented the latest progress as well as some problems which need to be resolved.

Hainan vice-governor Tan Li put forward specific requirements for the conference: establishing a headquarters of Boao International Tourism Forum in Sanya as well as a department for emergency services.
