4. Wyoming's "Big Prism"
The big prism in Yellowstone National Park was named for its gorgeous color. This is the largest hot-well in the United States, reaching 370 feet in diameter. The red and blue colors are formed by numerous thermophilic micro-organisms and bacteria, or organisms that reside in hot water. Big prism is one of the many colorful springs in Yellowstone, attracting millions of tourists every year.[Photo:jandan.net]
