Air:

There are two airports in Ningxia: Yinchuan Hedong Airport in southeast Yinchuan, and Zhongwei Airport in Zhongwei.

Yinchuan Hedong Airport is a fourth-degree modern airport which allows various large/medium-size aircrafts to take off and land, where direct flights to Beijing, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Nanjing, Shenyang, Tianjin, Kunming, Chongqing, Wuhan, Yantai, Chengdu, Xi’an, Taiyuan, Urumqi, Ji'nan, Hangzhou, Qingdao, Hangzhou, Changsha and Dunhuang are available.

Railways:

The Baotou-Lanzhou Railway passes through northern and central Ningxia, and the Zhongwei-Baoji Electrified Railway, the second passage from the coastal areas to the northwest, turns Ningxia into a vital point on the “second Eurasian bridge.” The completion of the electrification of the Baotou-Lanzhou Railway also further improves transport facilities in the autonomous region.

Highways:

Ningxia has six national roads centering on Southern Bus Terminal and Northern Bus Terminal in the capital city Yinchuan. Dozens of highways link Ningxia with Beijing and other provinces like Shaanxi, Gansu, Inner Mongolia, Zhejiang and Fujian, and cover most counties and cities in Ningxia. There are also buses for short distances to villages in every county.

Waterways:

Six highway bridges have been built over the 397-kilometer section of the Yellow River flowing through Ningxia, averaging one bridge on every 66 kilometers of the river course.
