Tongxin Great Mosque

Located in Wuzhong City of Ningxia, Tongxin Great Mosque is the largest and oldest Muslim mosque in Ningxia. 

Located in Wuzhong City of Ningxia, Tongxin Great Mosque (同心清真大寺) is the largest and oldest Muslim mosque in Ningxia. Many famous Moslem scholars used to study and lecture here. The mosque was built in the early Ming Dynasty (1368–1644). Tongxin Great Mosque is mainly built in the Han style but decorated in the Islamic style, which features the perfect combination of Hui and Han culture. The structure looks magnificent and the decorations are delicate.

The main building contains the main worship hall, which consists of two connected halls. It can seat more than 800 worshipers. It was recognized as the National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit by the State Council in 1983 and was among the first batch of Important Cultural Relics Protection Units of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.

Tips:

1. Please respect the Muslim culture;

2. The best time to visit is from May to October;
