Bullet train to run between Yinchuan and Beijing

A bullet train is scheduled to run between Yinchuan, the capital of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, and Beijing from April 1, 2011.

The T275/276 bullet train will consist of 18 carriages, and have a speed of 160 kilometers per hour. The train leaves Yinchuan at 21:00 and arrives at Beijing West Train Station at 09:41 the following day. The journey time will be shortened by nearly six hours to 12 hours and 41 minutes.

This will the first bullet train to run between Yinchuan and the Chinese capital. The Ministry of Railways started operating bullet trains between Chengdu, Chongqing, Beijing, and Shanghai in January 2011.
