The State Council approved plans to upgrade Shizuishan Industrial Park in Suizuishan City of Ningxia’s Hui Autonomous Region to a national industrial park. This makes Shizuishan the second national economic zone in Ningxia, next to Yinchuan Economic and Technological Development Zone.

Established by the Suizuishan city government in 1992, the industrial park was previously categorized as an economic and technology development zone in the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. It covers an area of 15 square kilometers and supports 358 enterprises. In 2010, the park’s total industrial output value was 20.38 billion yuan, with fixed assets of 5.48 billion.
