7 main water conservancy projects with the investment capital of 3.4 billion yuan (US$ 523.6 million) will be constructed in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region in this year.

The ceremony marking the beginning of building of these projects is held on May 5 in Qingtongxia City, Ningxia.

Wang Zhengwei, Chairman of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, makes a speech at the ceremony, expressing that these projects will resolve the issue of rural dringking water, irrigation water, and industrial water safety.
