The 2011 China (Ningxia) Helan Mountain Wine Festival drew to a close on Sep 13 after an awards ceremony. The festival lasted four days and attracted 41 domestic and foreign wine brands, as well as companies related to the wine industry. The total exhibition area was almost 10,000 square meters. The festival attracted many Chinese wine experts, including Wang Zuming, the secretary-general of China Alcoholic Drinks Industry Association Wine Branch. The festival also attracted more than 40,000 visitors, along with a total investment of 2.28 billion yuan ($356,529 million USD). Besides establishing a platform for both wine producers and equipment suppliers, the festival also focuses on promoting the wine culture of Helan Mountain's east side. At the final awards ceremony, following fierce competition, twelve girls made the final of the Wine Angle Contest. Dong Mengying won the contest, with Zhang Lei and Song Dan taking second and third place respectively.
