A week-long expo of the parenting, children's and baby products industries wrapped up on Friday in Yinchuan, capital of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. The region's first expo of its kind, the event drew more than 150,000 visitors over the seven-day National Day holiday, delighting thousands of children with a variety of activities and innovative toys. "I like the rock climbing, the big space base, the ocean paradise and the maze," a boy playing at the expo said. "It's a lot of fun to have so many big toys together in one place." The expo also featured a children's art competition. A youth mother surnamed Chang said the event provided an excellent opportunity for children to show their talents and establish confidence by experiencing the joy of success. Sponsored by the Yinchuan municipal government and the Ningxia Daily Newspaper Group, the expo included exhibits on nutrition and clothes for expectant mothers, children and babies as well as education, cartoons, toys and sports equipment. Organizers said the expo aimed to provide a platform for suppliers, distributors, purchasers, agents and customers in Yinchuan and surrounding regions to exchange ideas and to build a bridge between western Chinese companies and the international market. |
