Due to the increasing market needs, the Fall/Winter Brand Clothing Expo 2011 that opened on Oct. 1 in Yinchuan, capital of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, will be extended to Oct. 24, 12 days later than the scheduled ending date, the expo organizer said.

The transaction volume had reached 80 million yuan (US$12.5 million) over the first ten days of the expo, said Luo Jun, a site manager of the expo.

The expo attracted 40 foreign exhibitors and 600 domestic companies with thousands of fall and winter clothes on display, among which more than 3000 new exhibits also make their debut in Chinese market.

An international commodities expo also opened during the same period, showcasing artifacts from Pakistan, jades from Burma, chocolates from Kazakhstan and handicrafts from Africa.

The organizer said that all the exhibitors are brand manufacturers or brand general agents who deliver the exhibits directly from works to Yinchuan, cutting out many intermediate procedures and reducing the sales cost.
