A wind power project with 1.2 billion (US$189 million) investments from two local investors broke ground in Hongde Industrial Park at Hongsipu District of Wuzhong City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region on Oct. 24.

We will make every effort to speed up the construction of the project and have the local farmers benefit from the project, said Chen Bo, president of Ningxia Jiaze Power Company, one of the two investing companies.

Ningxia's vice chairman Zhao Xiaoping encouraged the local power companies to support the development of the local clean energy development in a sustainable way.
