The Yinchuan Municipal Government has intensified the development of wine industry in order to make full use of the rich production of wine grapes on the eastern reach of Mount Helan. Many renowned wine enterprises, both domestic and overseas, have built workshops in the area, where the latitude is 38 degrees north and the climate is favorable for wine grape growth. It is reported that the wine grape planting area there will cover roughly 66,666 hectares by 2020 and the production value is estimated to surpass 100 billion yuan (US$15.74 billion). [Photo: Xinhua]
