Young dancer Ma Qian starred as the heroine of the large-scale Chinese Hui ethnic dance drama “Flower and Youth,” which was on stage during the 4th National Ethnic Minority Arts Festival in Beijing. At just 28, she has already received a long list of awards and honors for her outstanding performances.

As a professional dancer, Ma concentrates on the Chinese Hui ethnic dance. In order to perfect her dancing in “Flower and Youth,” Ma practiced harder than anyone else. The show has won her the praise from both the director and audience.

Now Ma is the vice captain of the Singing and Dancing Theater’s dance troupe. She pays more attention to choreography and creation, and additionally tutors young dancers. Ma wants to devote herself to creating more excellent dance productions in the future.
