The 2013 Ningxia-Hong Kong Economic and Trade Cooperation Promotion Conference and contract signing ceremony kicked off at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center on June 13. A total of 38 contracts, with investments totaling 90.54 billion yuan, were signed during the conference.

The investors, who were mainly from Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan and the Pearl River Delta Region, will launch cooperation projects in the fields of energy, chemical industry, machinery, new material, food and trade with Ningxia government and businessmen.

Liu Hui, chairman of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, expressed Ningxia’s desire to work on investment and development opportunities with Hong Kong businessmen. Officials from Hong Kong also recognizedthe achievements of the cooperation between Ningxia and Hong Kong over the past few years, and stated that Hong Kong will continue to facilitate the exportation of products from Ningxia.
