Tengger Desert is the fourth largest desert in China. It is located in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and shares a common border with Ningxia at the city of Zhongwei. The 40,000-square-meter desert is also home to the Yellow River, lakes and wetlands. It stops at Shapotou by the Yellow River, producing a large sand dune, which is an ideal place to take sand slides. [Photo: Xinhua]
