A total of three large bridges will be constructed over the Yellow River in Yinchuan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, according to the Yinchuan Traffic Bureau on January 29.

The Binggou Yellow River Great Bridge, with a length of 4,053 meters and a width of 24.5 meters, will connect the Ningdong Energy Base with the Helan Ecological Textile Industrial Park. With a planned investment of 1.98 billion yuan, the bridge is expected to be opened up to traffic in 2015.

The Binhe Yellow River Great Bridge, with a width of 34.5 meters, will connect the Yinchuan city proper with the Binhe New Area. The total sum of 4.55 billion yuan will be invested in the project and the bridge will be opened up to traffic in 2016.

The Yongning Yellow River Highway Bridge will connect Yongning County with the Yinchuan Comprehensive Bonded Area, Hedong International Airport and Lingwu City. With a planned investment of 450 million yuan, the bridge will greatly promote the development of logistics and cultural tourism, said Chen Zhiwen, vice-director of the bureau.
