Yinchuan established Ningxia's first institute of landscape painting on November 5, which focuses on landscape painting's study and production. On the same day, the institute opened its own landscape painting exhibition.　

In recent years, there are a group of painters from Ningxia who are engaged in studying and producing landscape painting. Their works not only inherit tradition, but reflect features of our age.

According to the president of this institute Zhao Zhong, the institute attracted many great local artists including, the old, the middle-aged and the young. The exhibition includes works from internal members, as well as ones from external painters. Those paintings draw materials from Ningxia's scenery, and are infused with vitality, soul and creativity.
