The result of the 2014 China High-quality Grape Wine Challenge was published on November 16th, and the wines made in the east of Helan Mountain won 10 awards from the total 38 awards, which became the wine production region with the most awards.
120 types of high quality grape wines from the main wine production regions participated in the challenge, among which there was 1 Excellent Quality award, 15 Golden Quality awards and 22 Silver awards by the wine judges. Eight wines from Helan Mountain such as Lilan Lancui Carbernet Sauvignon 2012 and Sha Po Tou Cabernet Gernischt 2011 were in the list of the Golden Quality awards and ten wines had won the Silver awards, accounting for 53% and 45% of the total respectively. In addition, the activity of valuation was introduced in the challenge as well and 18 wines were selected to be the Best Cost Performance, including 7 wines from east of Helan Mountain.
This year, the wines in the east of Helan Mountain have won a variety of awards; especially during the World Grape Wine Conference in July, the wines from east of Helan Mountain competed with the 627 wines and won 5 awards.
