According to the Department of Environmental Protection, there are 2 more state-level ecological towns, 12 regional-level ecological towns and 12 regional-level ecological villages in Ningxia this year.

The 2 state-level eco-towns are Ligang Town in Helan County and Qianjin Farm of Nongken Group. The regional Finance Department and the Environmental Protection Department have awarded 1 million yuan for the 2 state-level eco-towns, 2.4 million yuan for the 12 regional-level towns and 0.6 million yuan for the 12 regional-level villages for the maintenance of the comprehensive renovation equipments for the towns and villages.

The ecological construction work is one of the ten environmental protection practical work that the regional government has done in 2014, which is also an significant work in improving the rural environment. Ningxia has constructed 22 state-level eco-towns, 4 state-level eco-villages, 87 regional-level eco-towns and 108 regional-level eco-towns since 2997.
