The city of Yinchuan will conduct 60 technological innovation subjects and phase out outmoded capacity totaling 560,000 tons, according to Yinchuan Industry and Information Technology Bureau on February 9. The energy consumption per 10,000 yuan GDP is expected to decrease by 3.1 percent in 2015.

The ferroalloy, cement, activated carbon, carborundum and other energy guzzling capacities will be eliminated and the electrolytic aluminum, calcium carbide, coke and some others will receive renovation and upgrading this year in Yinchuan.
