The fourth Liaogan Folk Custom Cultural Festival was held in Pingluo County, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, on March 13. The Liaogan Festival, which falls on January 23rd of China’s lunar calendar, means the end of Spring Festival in northwestern China. The custom on this day is to spread burning fire so as to expel bad luck.
