The Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region will encourage enterprises to play a major role in innovation and improve their core competitiveness this year. The government will make more investment in platform establishment, talent attraction and research and development of the technological innovation system. More entrepreneurs are expected to be fostered in Ningxia.

In 2014, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region conducted 86 key technological innovation projects and allocated 29.74 million yuan of financial funds on 33 projects featuring commercialization of technological achievements.

This year, the Ningxia Commission of Economy and Information Technology will establish special funds to support innovation conducted by enterprises and accelerate the construction of incubators, technological centers and labs. They will also step up the project of “Intelligent Ningxia,” the establishment of the big data center and the cloud platform and the application of IT technologies. The industries of coal chemistry, ecological textile, new materials and high-end manufacturing will be supported with focus in Ningxia.
