A total of 10 villages focusing on e-commerce development have been fostered in Helan County, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, this year, according to authorities in the county. The number of entrepreneurs and personnel on agricultural products e-commerce industry has totaled 1500 there.

The e-commerce industry has become a new engine in driving economic growth in Helan. The county stepped up e-commerce development by issuing a series of preferential policies and establishing special funds of 10 million yuan this year.

According to the spokesman for Helan Cyber-economy Development Bureau, a total of 10 e-commerce villages are expected to realize an online trade volume of 150 million yuan in 2015 on agricultural products sales.
