During the holiday of Eid al-Fitr, a total of 34 tourist spots in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region launched a variety of promotional activities, including offering free tickets, discount prices and souvenir presents.
According to statistics, tourist spots in Ningxia received 1.0173 million visitors during Eid al-Fitr, realizing a ticket revenue of 26.8616 million yuan, with year-on-year growth rates of 38.27% and 22.92% respectively. Especially in the summer resort of Liupanshan Mountain in Guyuan City and the Yellow River culture resort in Wuzhong City, the number of tourists surged sharply.
The Tourism Administration of Ningxia sent out delegations to promote tourism resource products, and coordinate with counterparts in Beijing, Taiyuan, Jinan, Guangzhou and Chengdu.
The monitoring system of tourist flows in Ningxia highways showed that self-drive tour became the major choice for tourists.
