Recently, reporters have learned from Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region’s Economic and Information Committee that until now, Ningxia has 14 state-level enterprise technology centers, 2 more than that of last year. It also has 58 autonomous region- level enterprise technology centers, 3 more than that of last year.

The research and test expenditure of enterprises which own these centers is as much as 1.325 billion Yuan, accounting for 71% of the R&D expenditure of the industrial enterprises above designated size, indicating that state and autonomous region-level enterprise technology centers play a leading role in regional scientific research and development investment.

The R&D expenditure of Ningxia’s industrial enterprises above designated size has increased by 11.4%. In 2014, there were 1170 industrial enterprises above designated size, among which 148 enterprises carried out research and experimental development activities, accounting for 12.6% of all the industrial enterprises above designated size.

Besides, the annual industrial enterprises’ R&D expenditure has increased to 1.865 billion Yuan, an increase of 11.4% over the previous year.
