Arabic countries ecological management and modern agricultural technology training courses, hosted by the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, and supported jointly by Ningxia Academy of Agriculture and Forestry Sciences, and Science and Technology Department of Ningxia, opened in Yinchuan recently.

Professionals from Egypt, Iraq, Algeria, Sudan etc. participated in the training.

Teachers for this training were renowned experts in related fields from Ningxia and elsewhere.

The course series, mainly covering comprehensive management of small watershed in southern Ningxia loess hills, desertification control of central arid area, technical system for improving saline and alkaline land in northern Yinchuan, and advanced agricultural technology, were taught in forms of lectures, seminars, field study, and case studies etc.

Many a field trips were taken, including visits to Shapotou in Zhongwei for its railway sand-fixation, Helan Modern Agricultural Zone, tree breeding base of Yinchuan botanic garden.
