The South Korean Tourism and Culture Festival kicked off in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region on December 6. Wearing Hanbok, tasting Korean Halal food, a reward of touring South Korea for 6 days can be easily seen at the spot. It is learned that this is the first time for a South Korean tourism organization to promote their tourist product in Ningxia.
Besides food and dress, traditional Korean dance, songs, and instrumental performance were also put into stage during the festival.
The festival shows the enhanced interaction between the two places. It has been the fourth year since Yinchuan-South Korea direct flight was launched.
Quan Rongzan, director of Xi’an office of Korea Tourism organization, said: “we have done market research in China’s western region, and found that Muslim travelers in South Korea have inconvenience in terms of food, so we tailor tourist product for Muslims like Halal restaurants and toiletries. ”
