The projects, such as the expansion of Shapotou Scenic Spot and Tengger Desert, and the construction of the Chinese Wolfberry Exhibition Center and the Hui Nationality Folk Art Street, will be enhanced to guarantee a 28-percent annual growth of both tourism revenue and the number of tourists. “Eighty percent of Shapotou New Town construction has been completed,” said Wang Fuzhong, board director of Shapotou Tourism Industry Group. “Services including reception capacity, accommodation, transportation, shopping and entertainment will be greatly improved after the project is completed in April this year.”

An additional 10 large-scale enterprises are expected to be set up in the city and the industrial added value is expected to increase by over 10 percent this year.
