The E-commerce Valley at Xixia District in Yinchuan City, capital of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, attracted 16 enterprises in 2015, with the trade volume surpassing 1 billion yuan, according to recently released official figures.
The enterprises, including JD Group and several renowned e-commerce giants in China, established offices at the valley and created 600 job opportunities for local people last year. The valley offers infrastructure facilities and supportive measures in funds and talents attraction for all the enterprises, said Hu Jining, the director of Commerce, Trade, Logistics and Economic Cooperation Bureau at Xixia District in Yinchuan City.
The Global Village Europe Imports Shopping Mall will be opened to the public next month. With a total investment of 330 million yuan, the shopping mall will employ 500 workers and sell 1000 more kinds of commodities, said Chen Yunpeng, the market director of Ningxia Global Village Imports and Exports Company Ltd. The mall is expected to become the largest imported goods transit shipment center across five provinces in northwest China, he added.
