The wine output in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region is expected to reach over 120 million bottles this year, with the output value exceeding 20 billion yuan, according to Ningxia Commission of Economic and Information Technology on January 29.

The sales revenue of wine industry is estimated to reach 5 billion yuan in 2016. It can create 80,000 job opportunities and chateaus in Ningxia are expected to receive 350,000 visitors.

A series of wine themed events like Eastern Foot of Helan Mountain International Wine Expo will be held this year to enhance its influence, a recently held conference said. Chateaus and wine enterprises in Helan Mountain are also encouraged to go out to participate in international wine expos and competitions.
