The Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region received 280,400 tourists during the week-long Spring Festival Holiday, up by 22.69 percent year on year, according to Ningxia Tourism Bureau on February 14.

A total of 36 tour groups from outside of Ningxia paid visits in the autonomous region, a breakthrough during the same holiday over the past years as most of the tourists were local people formerly, the bureau said.

The winter tourism festival themed joyous winter in Liuman Mountain attracted many tourists and the city of Guyuan where the event was held accepted 46900 tourists during the holiday with the tourism revenue totaling 1.44 million yuan.
