The Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region will promote the comprehensive development of tourism industry by integrating urban and rural resources in the next five years, according to Ningxia Tourism Bureau on February 25.
A core tourism center will be established in Yinchuan with the function of tourist distribution and consulting services, according to a themed plan. The tourism belts of the Yellow River Golden Bank and the Ancient City History and Culture will be enhanced. Tourism areas featuring the culture of wine at the Eastern Foot of Helan Mountain, the Silk Road culture at the Qingshui River and the military culture will all be developed with more efforts. The seven tourism sectors, namely, the Sand Lake, Western Xia culture, Hui Ethnic culture, frontier fortress, Shapotou District, Weizhou historical city and Liupan Mountain, will become more attractive across the whole region.
