The GDP of Yinchuan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, totaled 28.562 billion yuan in the first quarter of this year, up by 7 percent year on year, according to a themed conference on April 29. The economy in Yinchuan enjoyed a good start and grew steadily, the conference said.

During the same period, the city completed fixed assets investments totaling 12.75 billion yuan, up by 22.1 percent year on year; the total retail sales of consumer goods reached 12.45 billion yuan, up by 7.3 percent year on year; the per capita disposable income of urban and rural residents grew by 6.3 percent and 6.1 percent respectively.
