A Silk Road culture themed international seminar was held in Guyuan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, on August 14.
Over 60 renowned scholars and experts from both home and abroad made discussions on Qin and Han Dynasties culture and Silk Road culture during the seminar.
Being an important town on the ancient Silk Road, Guyuan boasts abundant historical and cultural heritage, such as the relics of Great Wall in Qin Dynasty, Gaoping town and hundreds of tombs in Han Dynasty. “All those historical relics can provide first hand material for research in ethnic group integration and culture exchange between nations,” said Zhao Guohua, vice-chairman of Chinese Qin and Han History Research Association.
