A project entitled "Life Valley" industrial park will be established in Yinchuan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, according to an agreement signing ceremony held on Nov. 15.

Occupying an area of 200 hectares, the park with a total investment of 20 billion yuan will center on agriculture and animal husbandry, health and bio-industry, carry out gene sequencing, molecular breeding and other projects and develop bio-medicine and health industrial chains in Ningxia.

The park will be constructed in three phases. In the first phase, two basic platforms, including an international medical examination center and a bio project research institute, will be built up. In the second phase, the core area of the bio-expo park, a plastic surgery hospital, a children’s hospital, an aged hospital, a chronic disease hospital and a life big data center will be constructed with an investment of 14 billion yuan. In the third phase, a sightseeing area around the "Life Valley" will be constructed.

In the next five years, an industrial cluster with a scale of 100 billion yuan will take shape at the park, said Ma Kai, vice-mayor of Yinchuan. It is expected to form an all-industry health chain radiating surrounding areas within ten years, he added.
