The Xumi Mountain Grottoes will be well protected and developed in the near future, according to the General Plan of the Xumi Mountain Grottoes Scenic Spot deliberated by the Government of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region on Dec. 8.

With a planned area of 29.33 square kilometers, the scenic spot will incorporate 70 tourist attractions, including 33 national and 37 cultural ones, said the plan. The transport and tourism facilities will be renovated and the designed daily capacity is 22,700 tourists after completion, according to the plan.
