In the first quarter of this year, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region received 5.97 million tourists with the tourism revenue totaling 4.45 billion yuan.

The number of domestic tourists reached 5.91 million and the tourism revenue totaled 4.43 billion yuan, up by 190.72 percent and 99.21 percent respectively year on year.

During the same period, a total of 78 tourism projects started construction across Ningxia and completed a total investment of 1.09 billion yuan, up by 62.5 percent and 54 percent respectively.
